Kate

Kate - Eager to please. Slightly suspicious of showers and beards. Kate is a one-of-a-kind pup that doesn’t come around often. She learns very quickly and needs little correction; she is eager to please. She doesn’t try to eat your food when you are snuggled on the couch with her, which she really enjoys. She bonds quickly and will make a great companion. She doesn’t jump on people, even the ones she loves. She won’t bolt out a door. She gets along with cats and dogs and would love a dog playmate, even if it is just visiting. She is 99.9% house trained if she is in a crate when you leave the house or if you are with her; if you leave her out and alone the percentage goes down the longer you leave her alone. She does sleep through the night and does not need out at night. She waits to be released to eat her food and does not guard her food or toys. She just learned how to catch a ball and bring it back, but that needs more practice. She would love to live with someone that will help her learn more skills. Kate is still learning… To not be afraid of a shower or the sound of the shower or the room the shower is in. To not growl at new people, especially if they have a beard. She does bark if there is a knock at the door, but knows when to knock it off. Kate has had limited time around children, but does not show any signs that she would not love them like she loves full size humans.
