Gladys has been in and out of the shelter for over a year. She was found in Morgan Monroe State Forest with her mate, Richard, in February of 2025. A month later, Gladys gave birth to their many children. She then went into a lovely foster home to safely raise her babies. Richard, who had to stay behind, struggled for months due to the loss of his companion and family.
